Championnat de France 2018
2018 French Championship

Finale // Final round - Brioude

Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team rider Loïc Larrieu has won the 2018 French Enduro 2 Championship title with victory on day one of the series’ final event in Brioude. Losing time following a small technical issue on Sunday, the WR450F powered rider had to settle for the runner-up spot on day two of the event.   Taking place this weekend in Brioude, the French Enduro Championship season finale was marked by the absence of Mathias Bellino, who was injured following a rally crash. Battling against Larrieu for the coveted French Enduro 2 Championship title, Bellino has been a highly respected rival since the beginning of the season. On behalf of all the Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team members, we would have really wished to see Bellino and Larrieu battle for the title in Brioude.   Wrapping up the French Enduro series as the Enduro 2 class champion, Larrieu has achieved one of his major goals for the current season. The Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team would like to thank all of their partners and sponsors. We would also like to dedicate this title to Mathias, a great racer and a true fighter

»   "I am really happy I clinched this title for myself and for my team. It was a great reward for their hard work and dedication and a great way to thank them for giving their best during the season. All things considered, we would like to retain a low-key approach to our title celebrations. Not being able to battle against Mathias it would have been really hard for me to lose this title. I would like to thank all the members of our team, our sponsors and our team manager Marc Bourgeois personally. I would also like to dedicate this championship to Mathias and to wish him to recover as much as possible during the coming months. From my side, I already have my eyes set on the GP of France this coming weekend. With the support of my home fans, I hope I will be able to battle for victory.”

»   “Loïc managed to achieve his major goal to become the French Enduro 2 Champion and we are all extremely happy about that. Given the circumstances, it was tough for us to celebrate this title… Nevertheless, I would like to cordially thank all the members of our team who worked hard not just during the race weekends but throughout the season. I would also like to thank all our team sponsors and partners. Our eyes are now set on the last two rounds of the World Championship and we will all do our best to achieve our second major goal for this season. This one might be a little harder as the points gap to Alex Salvini is quite big, but in racing everything is possible and we will give it all for the best possible result.”

The Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team of Loïc Larrieu and Jamie McCanney will return to action at the penultimate round of the 2018 FIM Enduro World Championship in Méthamis on September 22/23. We all hope the French crowd will be there to cheer for our riders as they battle for their respective class victories. The Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team will be at the Méthamis paddock to welcome all enduro fans from Thursday, September 20.   Pour plus d'informations et d'images, visitez notre site // For more info and images, please visit our website: www.outsiders-yamaharacing.com
